introduction: the phone call

The next task which the class undertook was planning and filming and then editing a short monologue of a phone call. The purpose of this task was in order to give us as much practice and experience within filming and editing as we can before we actually undertook our final task.

I personally wasn't in due to illness for the planning and filming of these task however did work with another group in order to edit their phone call. From this i learnt how a phone call was actually shot in that the conversation for each of the individuals involved was filmed bit by bit jumping between the two, but rather by filming each individuals monologue at once and then edited in the form of splitting the scenes and merging them together in order to form a conversational sequence, something which i hadn't been aware of previously.
